PREREQUISITES – Interested applicants, please only apply if you are:

  • Over the age of 18
  • An established or aspiring professional singer, vocalist or actor
  • Financially stable (not looking for this job as a source of income!!!)
  • In actual need of advanced voice training/singing lessons
  • Professionally-motivated to make or enhance a singing/performing career
  • A highly-motivated, exceptionally positive person (no cynics, pessimists or general grumps need apply!)
  • Articulate and well-educated
  • Well educated and/or familiar with your particular music field

     

JOB DUTIES

Office Receptionist
  • Answering phones
  • Logging computer data
  • Scheduling lessons, assessments, makeup lessons, etc.
  • Copying, faxing and basic office duties
  • Emailing updates
  • Providing students and faculty with a clean and comfortable work environment
  • Facilities management
Public Relations and Internet Marketing Specialist
  • Updating online sites, blog posts and all internet traffic
  • Optimizing keywords/phrases and metatags in website
  • Maintaining excellent online business persona
  • Researching AdWords campaigns for keywords/phrase optimization
  • Updating WVS website with news, page updates, graphics, testimonials, etc.
  • Editing, publishing and distributing monthly Ezine/newsletter to large student network
  • Editing and posting blogs about WVS events, techniques, etc.
  • Editing and posting online press releases about WVS events, news, etc.
  • Consulting on ideas to optimize and enhance WVS online presence

Student recruitment specialist

  • Creating “word-of-mouth” marketing for WVS and its programs
  • Direct recruiting via social network for vocal assessments and WVS classes
  • Direct recruiting via online network for vocal assessments and WVS classes
  • Consulting on ideas to optimize and enhance WVS community presence

COMPENSATION

Office Receptionist - $10-12 p/hour student work points credit toward lessons, $10 p/hour for work/study exceeding cost of tuition.

Public Relations and Internet Marketing Specialist – Work study rate + compensation negotiable based on duties performed (priced by project, not by the hour).  Financial compensation is available for large projects that exceed cost of tuition.

Student recruitment specialist – $50 p/credited student referral, $150 p/matriculated student referral.  Work/study exchange for tuition is recommended for this position, but not required.

Other than the student recruitment position, all applicants must be seeking voice or vocal performance training.  If you are not a singer or are looking for a part-time job for money only, DO NOT APPLY!
